A woman was left seriously injured following the attack
A woman in her 40s was left seriously injured after being attacked in Baileys Crescent, on Sunday, September 3. She was rushed to hospital as her injuries were considered serious but not life-threatening.
Ingus Galaskis, 36, of Baileys Crescent, has been charged with attempted murder. This afternoon he is due to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court.The incident is being investigated by officers from the Leeds District Domestic Abuse Team. Further arrests were also made at the scene - including another man and a woman.
Their arrests were in relation to an incident involving officers guarding the scene at the address. The man received a community resolution for a public order offence and the woman was charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker and a public order offence.
