A man has been charged in connection with the death of a 'much-loved' dad following a 'mass disturbance' in a South Lanarkshire street. The 27-year-old suspect is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court later on Monday after Stuart McGeachie was allegedly assaulted outside a premises in Rutherglen's Farmeloan Road on 24 October. Mr McGeachie, 38, managed to make his way to a nearby flat but was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family described him as a 'much-loved son, father and brother who will be greatly missed'.
