Police received several calls yesterday about a silver Vauxhall Zafira being driven on the M6. Passers-by reported the car on Saturday being driven with one wheel "on its rim".
The vehicle was stopped close to junction 18. The driver was later arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs, driving a vehicle unfit for the road and possession with intent to supply drugs.The Corsa was also seized. A spokesperson for North West Motorway Police said: "One from our last day shift, several calls received about a vehicle driving on its rim. Vehicle stopped J18, M6.
"Driver arrested for drug drive, driving a vehicle unfit for the road and possession with intent to supply drugs. Vehicle seized."
