They've all spotted the same problem
M&S have divided shoppers with their festive wrapping paper, which is plastic-free for the second year running. Last year, the chain removed plastic from their Christmas wrapping paper and made all cards, gift bags and wrapping paper 100 percent recyclable.
One reviewer wrote: "This wrapping paper is of very high quality but whoever manufactures it and decided to secure each roll in 3 sections with an adhesive band obviously didn’t undertake any testing. When trying to remove the adhesive bands you find they peel away in tiny pieces to the point they damage the wrapping paper and you instantly lose 6/8 inches on each roll. This is such a shame as like I said the actual paper, whilst not cheap, is very good.
Another said: "Bought this wrapping paper with 5 peel me stickers which where very hard to remove and kept tearing and damaging the wrapping paper, this was to be a quick job now still trying to remove stickers. Wrapping paper design in lovely but first 20cm of paper will have to be cut off."
