Great news!
On Monday, Charlie's Butchers moved into a new space inside the popular East End shopping mall after being closed for two weeks.
The closure came after the 26-year-old business was unexpectedly shut down earlier this month after the company operating the Market Village reportedly fell into liquidation.Paul Currie, owner of Charlie's Butchers, said he was “shocked” when he was told the news. He said: “I was absolutely gutted. I’ve been there for 26 years and have a very successful business, and now I’ve got no business. However, after a five-day move-in spree, the shop is now"twice as busy" as it was in the Market Village."The Forge Shopping Centre has tried to get us out into the actual mall a few times, but I was getting older, I was thinking of retiring rather than starting new, but the closure forced my hand a little bit.
"There's more success now that we have moved out to the mall, especially because of the stigma attached to shopping in the markets.
