'What an honour' - Lorraine Kelly has shared the news with her fans that she is delighted to be included in a new book celebrating inspirational Scottish women

Lorraine Kelly has said she is "beyond chuffed" to be featured in a new book all about inspirational Scottish women.

She then went on to thank the author Louise Baillie who wrote the book and illustrator Eilidh Muldoon. In her caption, she added: "OMG - beyond chuffed to be included in this fabulous book! What an honour! Thank you @florisbooks @DiscoverKelpies." A full cartoon portrait of Lorraine was featured in the book, as well as details about her career on the screen. Lorraine's including comes ahead of the release of her own book, The Island Swimmer, which will be released in February next year.

"It's set in Orkney, which I love, and it's all about a woman who leaves Orkney when she's a young girl. There's a huge, huge drama, and then she comes back. Why does she come back? And what happens when she's there?"
