Six fire crews work to contain the flames after a fire has broken out in Polton-le-Fylde
tackling a huge blaze at Walton Summit Industrial Estate this morning . Six fire engines were called just after 8.30am to a vehicle fire on Banksfield Place, Bamber Bridge. Crews from Leyland, Penwortham, Preston, Darwen, and Fulwood are all in attendance. Crews remain on scene battling the fire and people are being advised to avoid the area. Lancashire Fire and Rescue has asked anyone affected by smoke to keep all windows and doors closed.A spokesperson for the fire service said: "At 08:37 on 11 August, six fire engines from Leyland, Penwortham, Preston, Darwen, and Fulwood attended a vehicle fire on Banksfield Place, Bamber Bridge. Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, one hose reel, and one jet to extinguish the fire.
"We currently have six fire engines at a vehicle fire on Walton Summit Industrial Estate. Please avoid the area. If you're affected by smoke, keep all windows and doors closed."
