One passenger said it 'descended like a meteor'

An easyjet flight was met by emergency services after a mid-air emergency alert due to a loss of cabin pressure. The flight jetted off from Palma, on the holiday isle of Majorca, and was heading to Edinburgh.

They posted: "Pilot very concerned and dropped masks due to suspected loss of cabin pressure. Descended like a meteor. Pilot wasn't totally sure of the issue even when grounded."According to Aviation Source News, the flight made an on-time departure out of Palma De Mallorca at 7.35am local time today and was over Scottish airspace approaching the destination when it declared the general emergency with the squawk code 7700.

No-one was injured and the Airbus A320-200 aircraft was brought down safely at Edinburgh at 9.32am today.
