The dad was stuck under the bus for an hour until he was taken to Aintree hospital
Liam McCracken gave a message to his friends and fans from his hospital bed after he was hit by a bus.
He had surgery on Wednesday, September 13, and posted a message on Instagram from his hospital bed. The message read: "Honesty everyone I'm in disbelief came out of surgery to see a GoFundMe that's raised crazy amounts of money. I can't thank everyone enough, every last penny will be spent on providing for my family and rehab I promise.He also posted a video on Instagram to give an update on his condition.
Liam had only just moved out of his parents' home in Prescot and into a flat in Old Swan with his girlfriend and their one-year-old daughter. Phil said the flat is "full of stairs" and it might be the case that they have to give up the flat, despite having a contract. "He's one of the most active people I know and he lives and breathes the sport, hopefully it's not forever [that Liam not fighting]. Anyone who knows him knows how loved he is and I'm just waiting for the moment I can give them [the kids and staff at the gym] good news."
