The Pounds 2 Pitches tournament raised funds for mental health good causes

Players from a Lanarkshire football league promoting mental and physical health showed their support for three charities following a successful inaugural tournament.

The free download features the latest breaking news and exclusive stories, and allows you to customise your page to the sections that matter most to you.The players were cheered on by an impressive crowd at the KG Stadium; and the organisers now plan to sponsor a player’s shirt for the West of Scotland league side as a thank you for the use of the pitch and facilities.

Set up by Paul and friend Scott Reid and marking its first anniversary next month, Pounds 2 Pitches was established to help men improve their fitness as well as catering for those experiencing mental health issues.
