Kidnapped teen crypto trader hid hairs from car boot to help police if he was murdered
A teenage crypto trader was lured to a Preston apartment and kidnapped by a gang, who tried to tried to rob him of £20,000.
While they were away, Rahman's 16-year-old cousin, and Takudzwa Murombedzi, 20, went to the hotel room and lay in wait. The 16-year-old had a machete and had his hood up, while Murombedzi wore a balaclava. "They had an arrangement to act together to get money from him", Ms Thomas said. Ms Thomas said the plan seemed to be Rahman's idea to get the victim's home address and pay his family a visit. The 16-year-old made a bizarre claim that he too was a victim of the gang, but said he would help the teenager by taking the money from him and handing it over to the girl.Rahman went to the teenager's home, along with Albert Kahiya, 19, who was the gang's designated driver.
Before this happened he was very sociable and enjoyed going out with his family, but now he is constantly watching his back. When he leaves the house he worries he is being followed, he said.
