The call handler would then use a different phone to dispatch a courier to deliver the drugs", she said. If a courier was arrested, the call centre would be moved to a different area in Greater Manchester.

On January 29, 2020, officers raided Hasmehaj's home in Marchwood Close, Blackrod, and found large quantities of cash, drugs and mobile phones. There were new phones, still in their boxes, and SIM cards which had been used in multiple handsets. There were also the trappings of a criminal lifestyle, with brand new designer clothes in the wardrobes.

Klevis Prensi, 33, was close to the Hasmehaj family throughout the conspiracy, the court heard. His home was used for weighing and packing the drugs into green sealed snap bags, ready for distribution. He was responsible for securing accommodation and furniture for a new courier who was arriving in the area from Bristol, the court heard. Altin Nikolli, 37, worked in the call centre for a month at the end of 2019.
