Identity of white gunman who killed 3 black people in racially motivated Florida shooting revealed
After the shooting racist manifestos were found at his his home which were addressed to his family, federal law enforcement and the media, in which he told of his hatred of black people, the sheriff said.Sheriff TK Waters said Angela Michelle Carr was shot in her car; store employee AJ Laguerre was shot as he tried to flee; and customer Jerrald Gallion was shot as he entered the store, which is in a predominantly black neighbourhood.
“Therein lies the difficulty. When a person grabs hold of a gun with hateful intentions, it is very difficult to stop that from happening,” the sheriff said.Palmeter parked at Edward Waters University, an historically black college less than a mile from the Dollar General.
Eleven minutes after the shooting began, and as police entered the store, Mr Palmeter killed himself.
