Officers were called out to a 'disturbance'

Police are continuing to hunt down a knife attacker after a man was left fighting for his life following a 'disturbance'. Emergency services rushed out to Harlech Avenue, in Whitefield, at around 5pm last Tuesday .

Today , GMP confirmed that no arrests have yet been made following the incident. An investigation is underway. Officers cordoned off the area for several hours on Tuesday evening. A resident told the Manchester Evening News his son had heard 'shouting' at around 5pm. The man, who returned home from work to see a man had been injured, said: "He had his hand pressed on his neck and it looked like it was bleeding.
