Firefighters raced to the incident on the B981 between Crossgates and Inverkeithing in Fife after receiving the alarm at 2.40pm today. Four fire engines scrambled to the scene as crews worked for nearly two hours to put the flames out.
Dramatic images show the vehicle lit up in flames on the side of the road while huge pockets of thick smoke can be seen blowing across the Kingdom. There were no reported injuries.A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 2.34pm on Monday, November 28 to reports of a bus on fire between Crossgates and Fordell on the B981. Operations Control mobilised four fire appliances and crews quickly extinguished the fire.
