A large cordon has been erected at the scene.
Police were called to Mansionhouse Road in Shawlands this afternoon.A resident told Glasgow Live they saw around 20 officers "in white suits" in the area.
They said: "There are several forensic officers at Mansionhouse Road. The street is currently closed at the junction with Langside Avenue."They have been searching bins in the area."
