Councillors approved the sale this week.

A former janitor's house is to be sold by Glasgow City Council to a housing association in the Dennistoun area.

It will be purchased by Milnbank Housing Association, the council's contracts and property committee decided this week.The retired janitor who still lives in the two-storey detached home has agreed with the tenancy being transferred over to the housing association.A council official said: "The existing tenant has fully protected rights and his tenancy will be simply passed over to Milnbank Housing Association and he is fully in favour of this process.

Labour councillor Kevin Lalley asked if there was a possibility of a second janitor's house in the vicinity being sold.
