Emmerdale fans were left devastated for Lydia Dingle as she was raped during tonight's double bill episode.
As a result, the pair shared an intimate hug in the car, but Lydia was upset and told Kim Tate that she was determined to "nip it in the bud" so she wouldn't hurt husband Sam Dingle. The character's twisted new boss admitted he "couldn't stop thinking" about Lydia and how "the gods" had put them back in each others' orbits when they ran into each other at a job fair.
Trying to maintain her safety, she agreed to let the evil rapist drive her home to the village and back to Sam, but she sobbed all the way. Taking to Twitter in horror at the scenes, fans couldn't believe Craig's actions and were utterly devastated for beloved Lydia.
