The flight circled over the Irish Sea before landing in Manchester on Thursday afternoon (September 7)
An easyJet flight suddenly diverted to Manchester Airport on Thursday afternoon after reports of an 'emergency' alert being issued while in the air.
The flight, that was due to depart from Belfast at 2.10pm, eventually left the runway almost an hour later before it landed at Manchester at around 4pm.The flight path, according to FlightRadar, shows how the aircraft circled over the Irish sea, close to Liverpool and north Wales, before eventually touching down in Manchester.
