In a seperate incident a man in his 80s lost his life after getting into difficulty in the sea
A community has been left heartbroken after the body of a young girl was recovered from the water following an extensive search operation this evening.
The conditions at the time were said to be calm, however, this evening while the search continued, conditions turned choppy. "Our thoughts are with the little girl’s family. It is absolutely dreadful and everyone is heartbroken," Cllr McGrath told The Irish Mirror. The young girl’s body was removed from the scene and a post-mortem will be carried out at Cork University Hospital.
