People claiming Universal Credit are being warned they could face a fine or even court if they don't report certain changes in their circumstances to the Department for Work and Pensions .

Changes you need to tell the department about include having a child, changing address, changes to your job or even getting a new phone number, the Daily Record reports.DWP guidance states: "You could be taken to court or have to pay a penalty if you give wrong information or do not report a change in your circumstances.”
