REVAMPED APPROACH: If your PIP claim is due for review the DWP will send you a letter outlining the necessary steps and forms to complete

The new change could affect more than three million claimants, reportsClaimants with long-term health problems that show no chance of improvement currently undergo a minimal review after 10 years to check eligibility and payment levels. A simplified form of these reviews will now be adopted to streamline the process.

Others will need to fill in the regular 16-page form. It is important to return the completed form, along with any supporting information, within one month. If more time is needed, you can contact the PIP enquiry line for an extension. You will get a letter asking you to fill in a form called 'Award review - how your disability affects you'.
