DWP has revamped PIP reviews, aiming to streamline the process for claimants with 'high levels of functional impairment'
REVAMPED APPROACH: If your PIP claim is due for review the DWP will send you a letter outlining the necessary steps and forms to complete
These ongoing award recipients, who have no end date on their PIP, will now undergo a simplified review after 10 years to assess their eligibility and payment levels. A simplified form of these reviews will now be adopted to streamline the process.
Others will need to fill in the regular 16-page form. It is important to return the completed form, along with any supporting information, within one month. If more time is needed, you can contact the PIP enquiry line for an extension.You will get a letter asking you to fill in a form called 'Award review - how your disability affects you'.
You’ll get a letter that tells you what will happen with your PIP. If your needs have changed, your PIP might be increased, reduced or stopped.
