Gillian Dickie wants to see signs in place when public spaces have been sprayed with weed killer.
A devastated dog owner who believes her beloved pooch died from suspected weed killer is calling on the council to put up signs when public spaces have been sprayed.
Little Chewie - who hit the headlines in 2018 when he ‘married’ Shih Tzu Brownie - was rushed back to the vet's where Gillian was given the devastating news that whatever Chewie had eaten had wreaked havoc on his little body. Gillian says she phoned the council and it was confirmed to her that they had recently sprayed weed killer in that area.
“Even just to put some signs up that day to say ‘we’ve just recently sprayed so be careful’, then it’s people’s choice if they walk them there or not? They do it with other things like ‘wet paint’ or palm oil on the beach.
