Breaking news from court
A drug dealer jailed for life for the killing of dad-of-five Darren Davis had "tried literally to get away with murder", a court heard. Faheem Younis was given a minimum term of 24 years before he can apply for parole after stabbing Mr Davis in the heart with a kitchen knife.
"The night before the offence on August 9, last year, cell site evidence placed him close to or at Graham Street and, the following day, from CCTV, the court was able to see Darren Davis attend at Graham Street on his bike. These events occured on a hot, bright sunny day at about 3.45pm. "On the jury's verdict, it was the Crown's case that Faheem Younis stabbed him just inside or close to the back door of Graham Street".
