Stormzy enthralled the crowd but fans left feeling confused
The audience at a secret Stormzy gig in Liverpool last night were left confused last night after the songwriter walked off stage.
Stormzy himself entered the stage at 9.10pm and quickly enthralled the crowd. With four excellent backing singers, he started with This Is What I Mean, which delves into his journey from independent rapper to global superstar. Vossi Bop was particularly popular, with Stormzy performing the intro twice as the crowd embraced its criticism of former Prime Minister Boris Johnson. After a beautiful rendition of Hide and Seek, Stormzy began thanking the crowd and made his way through the audience, who sought to grab hugs and selfies from him.
