Councillors have been urged to approve and overhaul for Blackburn town centre which would see shops kitted out with new fronts and hanging signs
Blackburn with Darwen Council’s planning committee has been recommended to grant both planning permission and advertisement consent for the alterations. A report by planning officer Jamie Edwards says: “The applications are presented to the committee, in as the applicant is Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council. within Blackburn Town Centre.
“The two properties are of differing styles. The ground floor consists of shop fronts, in differing styles, some more modern than others, with modern signage. The separate stores for this application are the Care Network Hub , Pelle Menswear , Emporium menswear and Mad Hatters Tea Room .
