Police are investigating the incident as attempted murder
Crime scene investigators and specialist officers remain at the scene of a double stabbing in Manchester city centre - with a police cordon still in place.
One of them is fighting for his life, while the other is in a serious but stable condition. According to Greater Manchester Police's public incident portal, the incident is being treated as attempted murder.Today, police tape remains in place off Dale Street near a stretch of the Rochdale Canal. Pictures show forensic officers carrying out investigations, with Tactical Aid Unit officers also on the scene.
Police said yesterday that a 21-year-old man remained in custody. No further updates have been released since. "The victim’s families are being supported by officers and are being kept up to date with any advancements in our investigation. We are treating this as an isolated incident, however, you will see an increased uniformed presence in the city centre to aid the investigation and to provide reassurance to members of the public.
