A man is in a critical condition after a major incident in Manchester city centre on Wednesday evening with a huge cordon still in place.
Horrified witnesses described seeing 'blood in the road' after the violent attack as a huge cordon was put in place. Two victims, aged in their 20s and 30s, were rushed to hospital with serious injuries from the scene before forensics arrived.Throughout Thursday the area remained cordoned off, including on a towpath beside the Rochdale Canal, with evidence markers left beside debris on the ground.
The scene is expected to remain in place for some time, with detectives continuing to 'collect evidence' to 'piece together a full and comprehensive timeline of events.'
