Celtic star Paulo Bernardo has opened up on what he finds 'boring' about the Portuguese league.

Paulo Bernardo has opened up on the"boring" frustrations of the Portuguese league compared to the Scottish Premiership.

But a hamstring injury to Reo Hatate has meant the midfielder has featured heavily in the Parkhead side's last two fixtures against Atletico Madrid and Hibernian. He said:"In football here, the game is more intense. The game never stops. In Portugal, we lost a little bit of time in the game because all the players go down to the floor so the referee stops the game.

Hatate had started the Champions League match but was forced off just minutes in as he struggled with the knock. The Celtic boss said:"We're not 100 percent on the exact timings of that, but he's certainly going to be out until after Christmas we think so that's a shame. I think it's a disappointment for him. He's had a bit of a broken start to this season and obviously this here will take him over the halfway point of the league.
