UEFA opened disciplinary proceedings against Celtic the day after the match in Warsaw.
European football’s governing body confirmed on Tuesday that Celtic would pay a fine for the banner, which read, “F*CK THE CROWN”, as it was deemed a “message not fit for a sports event ”. Another read ‘Sorry For Your Loss Michael Fagan,’ a reference to a man who infamously broke into the Queen’s bedroom in 1982.National
