The next installment in the Call of Duty series is on the cusp of coming out. It’s a remake of Modern Warfare 3, and fans are divided over whether it’s worth the full price of admission. Many believe it is nothing more than glorified DLC for Modern Warfare 2, meanwhile, one Call of Duty fan has used a classic SpongeBob meme to prove MW3 is not DLC and is instead a worthy standalone game.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 doesn’t launch until November, but fans were recently able to enjoy its multiplayer through beta weekends. The reception to these betas was mixed with fans begging Away from just the quality of the game, some argue Modern Warfare 3 is equivalent to DLC and not worth buying for £69.99. Whether it’s worth buying or not is subjective, yet one Call of Duty fan has stood up for Activision and fanned the flames online through the power of SpongeBob.
