Buckshaw Village crash leaves girl seriously injured in hospital as police appeal for information
Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was seriously injured following a collision in Buckshaw Village.
Emergency services were called to reports of an accident in Buckshaw Avenue at around 7.30pm on Friday . Officers said a moped was involved in a collision with a 16-year-old girl. She suffered 'serious head and leg injuries' and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment. The moped rider was not injured.In a statement released this afternoon , Lancashire Constabulary said: "We are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with dashboard mounted camera footage, to come forward. Anyone with information can contact police on 101 or email SCIU@lancashire.police.uk quoting log 1309 of August 11.
