The alleged incident occurred in the Palace Grounds area of Hamilton on Sunday afternoon.to carry out investigations.
The force has since revealed that they have arrested and charged a 15-year-old boy in connection with an alleged assault.A Policespokesperson said:"Around 3.50pm on Sunday, July 16, 2023, we were called to a report of an assault in the Palace Grounds Road area of Hamilton. “A 15-year-old boy has been arrested and charged in connection. He is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. A report will be sent to the relevant authorities.
