A 12-year-old boy has been arrested after a Ukrainian teen was slashed during a 'racially aggravated' attack by gang of youths in Edinburgh.
Three Ukrainians teens - two aged 13 and one 15-year-old - were walking towards a bus stop at Niddrie Mains Road in the city on Sunday, September 3, when they were approached by a group of eight youths dressed in dark clothing. Two of the gang attacked one of the 13-year-olds, and left him with a laceration to his ear, before other members of the group attacked the other two teens. The 15-year-old was punched and the 13-year-old was stabbed before the gang ran off.Police Scotland said earlier this week that the incident was being treated as racially aggravated.
The force also confirmed that following today's arrest their enquiries are continuing into the incident.
