The night sky was glowing thanks to rare lunar phenomenon
Skygazers basked in the jaw-dropping wonder of a rare lunar phenomenon last night. The amazing glow of the Blue Supermoon could be seen across the world, including right here in Lancashire and Cumbia.
Photographers captures the stunning sight, which occurs when the moon comes unusually close to Earth. It will be quite the wait for the next event, which last happened in 2009, as it is not expected to appear again until 2037. Residents in Lancaster, Hyndburn, Blackburn, Morecambe, Arnside and beyond have shared their snapshots of the rare celestial event. Scroll through the magnificent images below.
