The summer holidays might be over, but the really wild residents at Blackpool Zoo are making the most of the September sunshine.
Parts of the UK have already hit heatwave criteria for the first time since June. The forecaster is watching a number of September heat records as temperatures could reach 33C this week, with much of the country seeing temperatures above 30CMercury levels in Blackpool are set to hit 24C today and will reach heights of 27C on Thursday . The glorious conditions will continue into the weekend, although temperatures will drop to 24C on Saturday and 22C on Sunday (September 10.
