Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's underwater scenes were a big challenge for costumes
"Figuring out how to make costumes beautiful that were going underwater [was the most difficult challenge]. There were so many aspects to being in water that worked against us," she said."We made a headdress for Namor with organic materials and feathers. He went underwater and everyone loved the way it looked and floated."When it came out [of the water] it was unusable, because chemicals in the water bleached out the colour.
Carter, who won an Academy Award for her work on the first film, also revealed approximately 2100 costumes were designed for the sequel, with the expanded world creating extra work for her team.
