Many glamourous racegoers attended
Annabelle, from Deeside, wore a beautiful fuchsia pink Lucy Mecklenburgh tea-style dress from Very, with a Singapore white floral hat and white heels. Today, September 2, racegoers could enter the competition by visiting the neon photo wall outside the Paddock Rooms and have their photo taken.
Guests were encouraged to put on their best outfits for a chance of winning its fashion competition - and the ECHO's Iain Watts captured some of the most glamorous racegoers at this year's Ladies Day. But it was Annabelle who took away this year's prize.
Claire wore a stunning black ruffle maxi dress with cut-out detail, with a black hat, sunglasses and black mini bag with roses for detail. Claire's second-place prize includes a Beaverbrooks Silver Cubic Zirconia Freshwater cultured pearl infinity bracelet and Freshwater Cultured pearl hoop earrings , a £500 garden furniture voucher from Net World Sports, an Edinburgh Gin gift set, a 2024 Chester Racecourse hospitality package, Laurent-Perrier champagne and a bouquet of flowers.
Third place prizes included a Beaverbrooks Silver Cubic Zirconia Infinity Pendant and Earrings Set , a 2024 Chester Racecourse hospitality package, Laurent-Perrier Champagne and a bouquet of flowers. The racecourse, which was established in the middle of the 16th century, is recognised as the world's oldest still in operation.Despite its age, it is also thought to be the smallest racecourse of significance at around one mile long.
