The headteacher of a primary school admits he has resorted to dressing up as a lollipop man in the hope of deterring problem parkers at drop-off and pick-up times.
Speaking exclusively to the Glasgow Times, he said: “I’ve been out there myself moving cars on and often, not everyone will listen to me, but they do at times. Knightscliffe native May McQueen said she has had several confrontations with parents who disregard the white “courtesy lines” painted on the street to allow her to get in and out of her home.
“We also urge people to be aware of local restrictions, including School Exclusion Zones which apply at a number of schools across Glasgow.
