The Festival of Asia will be returning to Banana Block in East Belfast from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, September 2 with free admission.
Toronto native Nallaine set up her successful business called KUBO three years ago at the beginning of lockdown, having moved to Northern Ireland two years earlier. "Last year we hosted the first all Asian food and cultural festival in Belfast, covering different aspects of food from the continent," Nallaine added.
"For instance, we have Maela performing some embodied art - a form of dance showcasing her discomfort and displacement she initially felt being Pakistani in a western country. It's her form of art therapy. "It's a chance to open people's eyes to the many different cultures and the fact that there's so much more behind each of them. Northern Ireland has been through so much over the decades and it's changed so much in terms of diversity.
