Planners at South Ayrshire Council have granted permission for the new feature at the Grade A-listed Piersland House Hotel, in Troon’s Craigend Road.
The owners of a luxury hotel have been given the green light to expand their offering with a seven-bedroom annex.
The design statement continues: “The thought process that has led to this proposal, is due to the economic costs of maintaining and running a building of this nature. It is the owner’s priority to look after this building and they should be commended for their work to date.Get all the local news in your area – plus features, football news and the latest on the coronavirus crisis – at your fingertips 24/7.
They concluded: “The vision of adding this annex is based on careful thought and planning by the owner. The design takes a sensitive approach through the creation of an annex – rather than directly impacting the listed building.
