🏆🎉 Winning awards and impressing Ofsted at Welbourn Church of England Primary School!
A Lincolnshire headteacher primary school has said she is delighted her school’s received “the grading we deserve” as Ofsted boosted it to Good.
She joined Welbourn in 2018 in her first headteacher role. Despite it being more of a challenge than anticipated, Tracy has always remained dedicated to fulfilling the school’s true potential, which she feels is now starting to show. As a result, the school was rated Good on four of the five categories and the maximum Outstanding on another – earning it an overall grade of Good.“I’m delighted that we have finally been recognised for being a Good school. I knew our team were ready to showcase our curriculum and achieve the grading we deserve; we have been waiting in anticipation for the call,” she said.
“We introduced a new reading scheme, with the help from the English Hub and developed our library, implemented a mental health and wellbeing initiative called ‘Myhappymind’ and invested in lots of professional development for all staff to be experts in their field.” Safeguarding arrangements at the school are also seen as effective, with inspectors noting the “strong culture” that enables staff to know their responsibilities and keep “comprehensive” records on pupil welfare.
