Pupils enjoy going to school and feel 'happy, safe and well prepared for future learning and adult life'
A special education needs school in Nottingham is celebrating after it continues to be an outstanding school. Inspectors visited Nethergate Academy in Clifton in June 2023, where the school was once again graded as Outstanding.
It was noted in the report that pupils enjoyed going to school and feel "happy, safe and well prepared for future learning and adult life." The report states: "Pupils value what they learn in school. They like the range of subjects they study and understand why reading is important."They benefit from experiencing the world of work and take part in a variety of activities that help them to develop positive characteristics.
"Without you all, this Ofsted outcome wouldn’t be possible.” Wayne Norrie, CEO of Greenwood Academies Trust, added: "It is incredible that even after a 54% increase in pupil numbers since the last inspection, the COVID-19 pandemic, and a change in leadership structure, Nethergate hasn’t faltered one bit and continues to be truly outstanding.
