Ashley Young has been speaking about Everton’s potential takeover by 777 Partners and the return of Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Ashley Young has become the first Everton player to comment on his club’s potential 777 Partners takeover.
The interest in Everton from 777 is long-standing, and they were linked with a Goodison Park takeover earlier this year. The company already has a number of European football clubs under its banner, including Sevilla, Hertha Berlin, Genoa and Standard Liege. He said: "It isn’t what the fans want to hear, but us as players have got to concentrate on what goes on on the pitch; that’s all we can worry about and just hope for it to be run smooth and the process be easy for the club, and like I say, as players, all we have got to do is go out there and produce on the pitch."
Sean Dyche’s side return to top-flight action against Arsenal at Goodison Park this weekend, and Young has hinted that Dominic Calvert-Lewin could return. The forward has missed his side’s last three games in all competitions after picking up a facial injury in the 4-0 defeat at Aston Villa.
