A court heard how Dominic Jordan was abusive towards staff working in the building
A man locked himself in the toilets of a YMCA before biting one officer and kicking another in the face.
Merseyside Police officers attended and Jordan became aggressive before biting an officer on his arm, which caused a significant puncture wound. He also kicked another officer in the face, which didn’t cause a serious injury.Jordan was arrested and pleaded guilty at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday, September 13 to assaulting an emergency worker and assault. He was sentenced to two years and four months in prison.
“This incident demonstrates some of the extremely difficult and dangerous situations that our officers have to deal with on a daily basis. As police officers, they understand the risks of the job, but they should never have to tolerate violence against them when they are simply attempting to carry out their duties.
