A driver was allegedly forced out of his vehicle at gunpoint with a 'suspicious object' placed in it
A man has been arrested over a car hijacking that resulted in a security alert in the Waterside area of Derry nearly a year ago, the PSNI has said.
At the time of the incident, a police spokesperson said the security alert followed a "hijacking when a suspicious object was placed in a delivery driver's car in Curryneirin and he was forced to travel to the Waterside". "He has been arrested under the Terrorism Act, and has been taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Musgrave Police Station to be questioned."
