Although a personalised treatment plan is required, anyone who’s prone to POD should have an interim action plan they can put into practice if a flare-up occurs. “Discontinue the use of topical steroid creams on the affected area,” advises Dr Mahto, “and avoid using heavy moisturisers, oily creams, or cosmetics that may exacerbate the condition.
