Man with the pram John Burkhill and Harry Gration's son Harvey were among those who took part in York.
The race started at the University of York's Heslington campus, before heading into the city centre, out to the surrounding countryside and back.and the son of the late TV presenter Harry Gration.
Harvey Gration, who is one of many runners raising money for charity, told the BBC: "It's certainly a way to keep connecting and to stay connected with him.
