Today, families will finally hear results of a report into preventable baby deaths at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.
The government is due to respond to the independent review into maternity services at the NHS trust after a number of babies died
Commissioned in 2020 by NHS England following growing concerns about quality of care, the study is set to describe how newborns died due to poor care spanning 11 years. Serious failings were uncovered when Harry Richford died at seven days old after an emergency delivery at The Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate.
