. “I referenced Bianca Jagger at Studio 54 – especially that image of her riding a white horse across the dance floor – but obviously changed it a bit for now,” he says. “We went for hot pink lacquered lips and violet-blue and pink eyeshadow, with disco glam texture on the eyes.”
At 18, Finney is the youngest in the quartet of women covering the December issue , and Theotokis wanted to reflect her youth in the playfulness of the make-up, while maintaining a sense of power and poise. Using two different colours – light pink and a violet hue – he deployed a fluffy brush to blend the shades together. “If you’re feeling confident, you can also blend the shadow out towards the outer corners to create a more dramatic look,” says Theotokis.
